John U. Lloyd State Park

-I know this park isn’t in Miami but it is worth the drive. The ocean water is clear as glass and there is plenty of beach for everyone to relax and spread out. There are also picnic tables with BBQ’s and showers, restrooms and dressing rooms close by. After the park you have to stop at Jaxson’s Ice Cream Parlor & Restaurant.

Bill Baggs State Park

-To my memory this is the first time I’ve been to Bill Baggs State park. I like it because it seems very remote and it has a lot of history to it. Unfortunately I couldn’t go up the lighthouse because my daughter was too young. So next time my husband is coming with us so I can get some nice pictures from the top of the lighthouse :) I wasn’t able to see the beach because it was nap time for the little one but I will definitely go again and post some new pictures and comments.
