Matheson Hammock Park

- Have you ever wanted to take the kids to the beach but don’t want to deal with the far drive,  lack of parking and rough waves? If so, you should try Matheson Hammock Park in Coral Gables. The water is shallow and isn’t choppy, which makes it perfect for young children.

John U. Lloyd State Park

-I know this park isn’t in Miami but it is worth the drive. The ocean water is clear as glass and there is plenty of beach for everyone to relax and spread out. There are also picnic tables with BBQ’s and showers, restrooms and dressing rooms close by. After the park you have to stop at Jaxson’s Ice Cream Parlor & Restaurant.
