Second Saturdays are Free for Families

Every Second Saturday from 1 – 4pm. Free.
This free monthly program for drop-in visitors features fun hands-on activities for children and adults. Second Saturdays also include occasional live music, storytelling, guided tours, gallery games, and dance performances. This is a fun-filled afternoon for children and adults to explore the museum, learn something new, create art and enjoy time together.

MCM Family Carnival
Where: Miami Children’s Museum
When: Sunday, September 13, 2009 from 1:00 – 6:00 p.m
$35 for children (1 – 12 years)
$50 for adults (13+ years)
Proceeds from this event will benefit arts & education programming at MCM
This carnival event will be celebrated in conjunction with MCM’s 6th Birthday on Watson Island. Whether you explore the Museum’s 14 galleries, visit one of our specialty booths, play some carnival games, or visit the Big Bazaar, you and your family are bound to have a blast!

Daytime Family Laser Show
Where: Miami Science Museum
When: Saturday, September 19, 2009 ( The time is still to be determined. I will post the time as soon as I get the time information.)
A new family laser show premieres in the Museum’s Planetarium this month! Experience different genres of music with state-of-the-art lighting and mind-blowing images. Fun for the entire family!

Come to the museum during these specific dates in September and the whole family will receive free admission from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. courtesy of Ford Lincoln Mercury Operation Goodwill.

Discover The Elements With MOCA Art Pixie
Where: Aventura Mall : Rainbow Valley Playground
When: Wednesday, September 23, 2009 @ 10:00am to 12:00pm
Children will make fancy fish prints inspired by Japanese art. The program is co-sponsored by the Museum of Contemporary Art.

Family Fun Days
Where: The Little Farm
When: Saturday and Sunday. September 26 & 27 2009 @ 10:00am to 12:00pm
Open to the public twice monthly 10AM for approximately 2 hours. Pony Rides, Petting Farm, Tour of the Butterfly Garden and Farm. No reservations required. Bring the camera & don’t be late for the fun!
